I had an amazing stay at The Timberline in Leadville Colorado. After a couple nights of camping this was the perfect place to "return to civilization"! The room was adorable, functional and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the newly renovated room was second to none. The hosts were beyond accommodating and welcoming. Our family loved staying at the Timberline. It was 2 adults and 2 kids (age 1 and 6) plus a dog. We stayed in the queen bed + bunk bed room upstairs. When we arrived after dusk the light in the stairwell was out, and it was pitch black. I texted the service number and they came and fixed it right away. The room was a good size and had so many little storage nooks that I was able to keep all our stuff organized over the 3 nights we were there. The little kitchenette was such a life saver. We cranked out breakfasts and dinners in there so we could still eat our normal healthy diet even while on the road. The location is perfect at the end of the downtown strip- perfect little jump off point to visit twin lakes, independence pass, and the fish hatchery.

My only complaint which is very minor is they have a ton of hooks everywhere which I love, but they are very short so stuff falls off. Put some more substantial hooks in this place and it would be absolutely perfect.

Review update: my husband lost his beloved hat I knit him with yarn I got in Norway that he has been wearing for 8 years. I texted the manager a pic to look out for it. A week later they found it!!! And sent it to us!!! So meaningful to have them go that extra mile on a special item that they very certainly could’ve forgotten or ignored.

The room was cozy, the bed was comfy, and there were plenty of outlets. Staff was responsive via text/phone both before and during our stay. Loved the blankets and S’more supplies by the fire pit! Restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. There was road noise (our room was close to the street) but earplugs were provided though we didn’t need to use them.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Timberline in Leadville with the college ski team I coach and I can honestly say it was one of the best lodging experiences we have had as a team! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was perfect for our ski trip. On the outside, the Timberline looks like any of the motels in town… however, when you open the door to your room you can clearly see it’s SO much better than the rest! The renovated rooms are modern, thoughtfully supplied (TASTY first ascent coffee, great shower products, lovely little appliances), and cozy. 5/5 all day on this little place! The hosts were fabulous communicating to us that our room had not been renovated yet, so we were expecting something mediocre - it was EXTREMELY CLEAN and a great little space! They thought of all of the necessities that you would need and made great use of the space. Excellent touches like providing high-end local soaps and shampoo, and we especially appreciated the bench out front to sit and enjoy our wine while taking in the mountain sunset. Highly recommend. The Timberline was a fantastic stay for a quick ski weekend at Copper Mountain! The Mountain view out the front door was breathtaking to walk out to and downtown Leadville was a great place to find a bite to eat and coffee in the morning. A clean, well put together unit and amenities matched the description - and I personally really liked the soap brand in the unit. Looks to be local but was really nice. Rodney was responsive and extremely accommodating with our stay. Would absolutely make the trip back.
