Best spot around if you’re trying to go ski on a budget. The room we booked was perfect and had everything we needed. The shower was one of the best showers I’ve been in. Kind owners, cozy rooms. I was at our family home in Twin Lakes the day the wildfire started. We are located in an area less than two miles from the fire and were on a pre evacuation order and told to be ready to leave at any moment. I didn’t feel safe staying alone overnight and opted for a hotel in town. When Mick found out why, he waived our fees and gave me and my dog a safe place to stay for the night. It’s so refreshing and encouraging to see kindness from other humans. Aside from the stressful circumstances, the rooms are objectively so cute and cozy. I had driven by many times and was curious to check them out and glad I finally got to. My dog and I slept amazingly even during a chaotic event. There so many nice small touches in the room that made it that much more personal. And speaking as a local, the location couldn’t be better Highly recommend. Loved staying at the Timberline! Great location, and the room was hip, modern, and clean. Out of all the places I've stayed in the area, this place wins the prize for accommodating outdoor activities. In addition to it being close to trails, there were so many hooks, hangers, and shelves for our gear and we were able to fit two sets of skis and a bike in there. The bed was comfy and the hosts had plenty of consideration on extra items for the room--the Alpine Provisions soaps were a nice touch and they had everything from ear plugs to really enticing treats for purchase in the mini bar. The Timberline was a great experience!  Clean rooms, comfortable and great location.  I had planned to stay just for 1-2 nights but stayed at least 5 nights because it was so easy and comfortable.  It’s also on the main drag with so many shops and restaurants just a few steps away. The owners/staff are very responsive to text as well. Great location for the Leadville 100. Parking was easy with extra parking in back. Didn’t need it but nice to know it was there. Dog friendly which was awesome. My only complaint was that it was pretty hot with no wind even with the windows open. Not their fault, mountain places don’t usually have A/C. But they did have a fan which was helpful. Overall, the place was great. I love that the TV resets after your stay so you don’t have to worry about logging out of your Netflix etc.
