Memorable Stay, Leadville, June 2024
Our first visit to the Colorado Rockies, and we had a great time staying at The Timberline in Leadville. Our room, The Loft, was meticulously clean and afforded a nice view of the surrounding snow capped mountains. This multi-room suite (photos) had 3 bedrooms (very nice beds), 3 bathrooms (one in common area, two in bedroom), washer and drier, and a thoughtful clothes changing bench to change in/out of outside clothing. This Loft looks to be their premium guest room and is one level above the street - requires use of stairs. The Loft's fun kitchen has a large island - 6 stools one side; members can sip and socialize as one, or two, prep dinner; yes, it’s that large. There’s also dining table, appliances, utensils, dishes and silverware (all high quality). The common area has gas fireplace and two sofas long enough for additional sleeping. The looks are nicely warm, period-aged original brick walls. We actually loved the rustic ceiling look and enjoyed it 150%; it was a premium place to call home. And available for all Timberline rooms to share, there is a ground level patio with open gas fire pits for evening socializing. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our stay. Another mention, which helped make our stay special, was the attention the staff - especially that of innkeeper Rodney. Not a glitch anywhere to be seen. Location. The Timberline location itself was great for us, as first time visitors: A) next door to nice looking lunch and dinner restaurant (didn't try), B) a block from the 1879 Silver Dollar Saloon (on a dare, we ate ‘rabbit and rattlesnake’ lunch sausage – tasty!), and C) two blocks to a popular steak and prime rib restaurant. At the other end of town (walked to it) was National Mining Museum which we enjoyed/learned a lot, worth the $15 admission (before military, youth and senior discounts).

Timberline was the perfect little getaway at the end of a long day in the mountains. Tucked right at the end of the main drag in Leadville, we were walking distance to all of the Leadville gems for dinner and coffee. Hidden Gem in Leadville Colorado
We drove from South Dakota to Arizona in an RV but the generator went out. No generator means no sleeping in the coach. I started searching while we drove and the minute, I saw the website for the Timberline I knew I had the place. I called and spoke to the team to make sure I would be able to park the RV nearby.
I was able to secure a King-sized room. The room is modern and quaint at the same time. Competitively priced and easy to check in without having to wait in lines. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops.
We drove into town in the dark and were in awe of the view when we walked out in the morning. Leadville is charming and beautiful and we definitely want to see it in the Spring/Summer/Fall months.

I had an amazing stay at The Timberline in Leadville Colorado. After a couple nights of camping this was the perfect place to "return to civilization"! The room was adorable, functional and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the newly renovated room was second to none. The hosts were beyond accommodating and welcoming. Cool retro style Stay in a Cute town!
☺ Beautiful town and the unit was satisfactory.  Its an older motel/hotel that has been remodeled  in a cool kind a way.  Space was small but we were ok with that for one night to rest. I wouldn't recommend  a longer term stay for that reason unless solo or just for two.
