Race Week at 10,152 Feet
The races start and finish at 6th & Harrison. We’re a few blocks down the same street.
Every summer, the Leadville Race Series brings the world’s toughest riders and runners to our block of Harrison Avenue. Stay at The Timberline and race morning is a short walk up the street — no shuttle, no parking scramble, no idling in the dark. Just coffee, your gear, and a walk to the start line.

Come early. The altitude is the whole point.
Leadville sits at 10,152 feet, and the races go up from there. The racers who do well are almost never the ones who drove up the night before. Our race-week minimums exist because that’s how people actually stay — arriving early to acclimate, sleeping in after the race instead of packing the car at dawn. The most prepared racers book even more nights on the front end.
Race morning is better on foot.
The start line is a few blocks up Harrison. On race morning you can walk out our door with your bike or your drop bags while everyone else is circling for parking. Crews love it too — the finish line is the same walk home.
Kitchenettes were made for race nutrition.
When you’ve dialed your fueling for months, race-week restaurant roulette is a risk you don’t need. Our kitchenette rooms let you make your own breakfast at 3:30 AM exactly the way you’ve trained with it. (For everything after the race, our eats guide has you covered — recovery burritos included.)
Bring the whole crew.
Racers rarely come alone. Between standard rooms, kitchenettes, and the Loft, groups can take over a corner of the motel and still each get a real bed and a hot shower — and the fire pit is where race stories get told.
Which Room for Race Week
Solo racer Standard Room →Everything you need and nothing you don’t: a great bed, a hot shower, fiber Wi-Fi, and a door you can walk out of at 4 AM without waking a soul. Racer + crew Kitchenette →Room to spread out, a fridge for your fueling plan, and a kitchen for the mornings that start before the coffee shops do. The whole team The Loft →Our biggest space — the move for teams and families making a week of it.Booking Race Week
You can book us up to 365 days in advance — and the big race weekends go fast. If you’re in for the MTB or the Run, book as soon as your race entry clears. Seriously.
Minimum stays: Two nights (Friday–Sunday) for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB. Three nights (Thursday–Sunday) for the Leadville Trail 100 Run. These match how racers actually stay — in early, out the morning after — and plenty of people add nights up front to acclimate.
Book direct. Booking with us directly always gets you the best rate and the most flexibility — no third-party middleman if plans change.
